What: Jewish Luck (film)
When: November 21, Saturday
Time: 3:00 PM
Where: Oak Street Cinema - 309 Oak Street SE Minneapolis
As part of the MN Film Arts classic Yiddish film weekend, come watch Jewish Luck. It was among the first Soviet Yiddish films to be released in the US during the 1920s.
What: Holidazzle Parade*
When: December 4, Friday
Time: Parade starts at 6:30 PM / Group will meet at 5:45 PM
Where: Parade is downtown / Group will meet on the front steps of Coffman to go together
This is a TandemPlus sponsored event and all who have registered with Tandem are welcome to come along! Have a partner but they can't make it? You registered but were not matched? Join us and meet people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Remember to RSVP by emailing tandem@umn.edu
Where shall we meet? You can meet some of the group on campus and travel with them downtown, or you can meet the group downtown.
1) On campus. Bethany will guide a group of students downtown via the bus. If you are interested in going with Bethany, please meet her on the front steps of Coffman at 5:45 pm. Bring your U-pass, Go-to card, or $2.25 in cash for the way there and $2.25 for the way back.
2) Downtown. Meet the group on the SE corner of Nicollet Mall and 5th St. Look for the "TandemPlus" sign. If you come by bus from campus take the 3, 16, or 50 to Nicollet Mall.
How much does it cost?
The parade is free. If you would like to buy something downtown, you might want to bring some money.

What: MELP Cookie Decorating Party
When: December 11, Friday
Time: 12:15 - 2:00 PM
Where: Wesbrook 25
Join MELP to decorate some sugar cookies with your TandemPlus partner. Cookies and goodies for decorating will be provided by MELP. Feel free to bring your lunch to eat while you decorate.
Bordertown Cafe is a great source of conversation groups. You could look for flyers hanging up in the cafe or talk with someone who works there to find out when groups meet. The groups do not always meet at the exact same time, but here are some times you might find a group
Groups may have a required language level. You should check with the coordinator or group leader to determine whether the group is right for you.
